Features The central building on the island has a large verandah and dining room. Here all the guests meet for breakfast and dinner. Lunch is served in a picnic basket to your bungalow, where you can enjoy it on your shady verandah. The food is fantastic. You cannot get any better anywhere in the Solomon Islands! The friendly, easy-going style of management and staff makes you feel as if you are staying with friends, not at a tourist resort.
Accommodation Nestled in beautiful tropical gardens are 6 spacious beachfront bungalows for families or couples, two units and two guestrooms. All rooms have private bathroom with ambient temperature showers and toilet facilities. All accommodation is screened and all bedrooms have fans. The bungalows are widely separated for the optimum of privacy. Beach towels are provided in all rooms.
Bathrooms are supplied with a range of natural plant/mineral based toiletries; hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. These toiletries are made by a Queensland company and are 100% biodegradable and are based on organic, locally sourced (Qld) ingredients. All rooms are equipped with Australian style power points.
Meals Breakfast and the evening meal are served in the main dining room, while lunches are delivered to your accommodation. All meals are based on fresh locally grown organic produce and seafood, sourced from nearby villages. Uepi has a kitchen garden on site, growing most of the resort's salad vegetables and a variety of other fruits and vegetables used in the kitchen. Chickens, eggs and pork is also produced locally for the resort. Meals are prepared by talented local chefs and are a highlight of your stay. Special dietary requirements can be catered for with notice.
Getting to Uepi Although very remote, it is easily accessible: Only 70-minute flight from Honiara to Seghe and another 12 km by motorised canoe and you are in an incredible paradise! The canoe transfer can get a little wet in the afternoons, however your luggage is kept dry with big tarps and they will handout raincoats to protect you from the spray.
We think... Uepi is the best resort to stay in the Solomon Islands. Run by Australian owners, this resort offers fantastic service in one of the best dive areas in the Solomons. Just the house reef alone is worth a visit.
