The Minahasa Lagoon Resort, overlooking the sea, is situated on a private sandy beach, surrounded by tropical rainforest spreading over an area of more than 13ha. This picturesque landscape with mountain creeks is on the mainland of North Sulawesi about 30km (18mi) southwest of Manado. The transfer from Manado airport takes about an hour by car.
Facilities and accommodation
The resort has 15 sea view cottages (5 of them are beachfront cottages) and a building with 2 garden view rooms. Each of the sea view cottages is approximately 70 sqms. They are identically furnished and built out of the beautiful native "Kayu Besi" wood.
Each bungalow has a large bedroom with canopy bed, a small room with bunk beds, a spacious semi-open bathroom and a large veranda overlooking the sea. All rooms include air conditioning, running hot water, ceiling fan, minibar, telephone, internet access, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, a toilet kit and slippers.
Two of the cottages and all resort facilities have wheelchair access. The two garden view rooms are on the sloping part of the resort near reception. They are slightly smaller (about 50 sq), but otherwise identical with the sea view cottages, only the bathroom is not of a semi-open design.
The beach restaurant offers an excellent selection of food. It serves Italian and international cuisine. The Jungle Restaurant is built on a hill above the resort. Hotel guests have to reserve a table and can experience local dishes while enjoying beautiful views.
The long private beach is made up of coral and volcanic sand. The deck chairs along the beach invite you to relax. Close to the bar, you will find the pool and spa facilities. Board games, newspapers and books are available for guests.
Facilities also include a souvenir shop, laundry service, babysitting, playground, money exchange and the possibility to play golf (outside of the club).

Minahasa Lagoon Resort has stable mobile phone reception. Prepaid local Sim cards are available. Wireless internet connection is available in rooms and common areas. The resort also provides a guest computer in the common area for internet access.

Minahasa Lagoon Resort is a very exclusive resort in terms of standard, cuisine and atmosphere. It is located at the southern edge of Bunaken National Park and, together with some well known dive areas close to the resort, offers very varied diving. The resort provides a high standard of service, so almost all of your special requests can be taken care of.
