Accommodation
The 34 meter (112 ft) long Solmar V is a modern vessel. It can accommodate a maximum of 22 divers in its 11 well-furnished and comfortable double cabins. All cabins have private bathrooms and are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning and a TV / DVD combination. The 6 superior cabins are slightly larger and are located in the middle of the vessel. The 5 standard cabins are in the front part of the ship.
Diving
Solmar V offers up to 4 dives daily. Depending on the dive site, the diving is done from the main vessel or the ship's two dinghies. Experienced divers can dive in buddy teams. Nitrox is available for a fee and those who require rental equipment must register in advance.

In Guadalupe, only one of the 3 cages is used for scuba diving. Two are submerged 10 meters (33 ft) under water and instead of scuba tanks, an air supply hose is provided from the vessel.

The Revillagigedos Islands consist of 4 islands & San Benedicto Island, Socorro Island, Roca Partida and Clarion. Divers simply call them Socorro.

The Revillagigedos islands (commonly called Socorro) offer the best big fish dives in Mexico's waters. There are many shark species, including large schools of hammerheads, silvertips, silky sharks, oceanic Whitetip sharks, and tiger sharks. Dolphins are also common. The main attraction are the great Pacific manta rays that come regularly to the cleaning stations of the islands. Trips are offered between January and May, and from late October to December.

In San Benedicto, you can observe mantas at very close range. From February to April, you can watch humpback whales in the waters around Socorro. All dive sites offer interesting underwater structures of great depth but the vegetation is quite sparse. Sailing to Socorro takes 20-26 hours each way, depending on the weather.

In the Sea of Cortes, there is an abundance of fish. The dates of these trips vary each year but usually run in June, July and October. The best months for diving are from August to October when the water temperature is pleasant 23°C-28°C (74°F-84°F) and visibility is generally good. The main attractions are the hammerhead sharks at El Bajo Seamount and the colony of sea lions at Los Islotes. Close to La Paz you can go snorkeling with whale sharks.

Guadalupe Island is located in the Pacific Ocean approximately 165 miles west of Ensenada/Mexico, Guadalupe Island is well known already since long time for the extraordinary great white shark excursions (August - October). The visibility is often more than 30 metres (100 ft) and the water temperature averages 18°C-21°C (65°F-70°F). This is cage diving at its most exciting and, because you will be using surface supplied air (hookah) instead of scuba tanks, this adventure is open to both divers and non-divers alike. However, there is one extra cage for certified divers which they take up to 10 m (33 ft) depth. They take no more than 16 guests on those cruises, to ensure everybody gets plenty of time to observe the great whites!
