Gangga Divers, already well established in Gangga Island Resort & Spa, in North Sulawesi, operates the PADI Five Star Dive Resort where the highest international standards of diving safety, and personal service are upheld. The Diving Center is perfectly located in a position to reach the best dive sites in Bali, including Candi Dasa's Tepekong Canyon, Tulamben's Liberty Wreck and Padang Bai's dive sites.
The dive centre is located at the premises of the Lotus Bungalows. In good weather the dive boat is reachable via a jetty. In rougher weather the dive trips start close to the village of Padang Bai, which is about 15 min away by transfer bus.
Dive Center and Service
The dive centre is well known for good service and individual attention. Daily dive trips with 2 or 3 dives are offered. The dive sites in the south are visited with one of their two comfortable dive boats. Dive sites in the east of Bali like Tulamben and Amed can be reached by car and the diving is conducted off the beach.
Each of the comfortable 13-meter dive boats is designed for 12 divers per. The boats are well equipped, each has its own toilet, radio, oxygen and first aid kit. Dives are done with 12 or 15 litre scuba tanks, there are both INT as well as DIN valves. Nitrox is available free of charge to Nitrox certified divers, but only in 12 litre tanks. Of course well maintained rental equipment and various PADI dive courses are available.
Dive trips with car transfers are conducted in small, air-conditioned buses with room for 8 divers. If space is available, snorkelers are welcome.
Dive areas
Diving is offered in Bali?s south, at reefs close to Candidasa, Padang Bay, the islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. Also the dive sites in the East, such as the wreck of Tulamben, Amed or Seraya Secret are visited. The small house reef is accessible by a jetty but only when the sea is calm.
The dive sites in the south often have quite cooler water the temperatures here sink to 20 ° Celsius (68 F), and appropriate wetsuits should be worn. Some of the highlights here are the Manta Point, south of Nusa Penida Island and possible encounters with moonfish which are called Mola Mola in Bali.
