Seawolf Soul is one of the flagships of the Seawolf Fleet of liveaboards. Launched in 2007, this ship meets the highest standards.
Seawolf Soul starts its week-long trips from Marsa Alam/Hurghada to the best diving sites in the Southern Red Sea: Brother Islands, Daedalus, Rocky Island, Zabargad, Elphinstone and the St. John's reefs. On occasions, the Northern Tour will be offered as well which includes the wrecks of Abu Nuhas, the Dunraven and the Thistlegorm.
Facilities
On 36 meters (118 feet), Seawolf Soul provides plenty of space to a maximum of 22 guests. The ship has 8 spacious double cabins and 3 suites, each fitted with own shower and toilet, air conditioning and a minibar.
The salon is equipped with a separate dining and a bar area. It is air conditioned and has a large flat screen, DVD and video. Meals are served buffet style three times a day, with mostly Italian, German and Egyptian specialties on offer. There are two partially covered sun decks. As a special cultural treat there is a designated area where you can enjoy a traditional Egyptian water pipe. The dive deck provides plenty of room to gear up on 24 square meters. (260 sqft)
In addition to two tenders (Zodiacs), the Seawolf Soul has two oceangoing life rafts, first aid equipment and oxygen as well as the latest electronic equipment. In 2009, the Seawolf Soul has been equipped with the emergency call and location system ENOS ®.
Diving
Up to four dives will be offered each day. Dives are mainly done off the two tenders (Zodiacs). German and English speaking dive guides are on board. All dives will be carried out indepently in a buddy system, a certain amount of diving experience is a prerequisite for participation in the safaris. 12l (80 cu.ft.) aluminum tanks with DIN or INT connection are available, 15l (95 cu.ft.). tanks are available can be pre-ordered for an extra charge.
Dive Sites
The off shore Marine Park islands, The Brothers, Daedalus, Rocky Islands and Zabargad Islands, are the highlights of the Red Sea. The Brother Islands, two outer reefs rising from great depths, are one of the world's best dive sites. Steep walls, covered by stunning soft corals of all colours, black and fan corals, two wrecks, pelagic fish and schools of fish will excite any diver. With some luck you?ll meet thresher sharks, grey reef sharks, hammer head, oceanic white tip sharks and mantas. The trip in stormy weather may be somewhat rough, but the diving makes up for the effort.
Another sure winner for world-class diving is close to the Daedalus Islands, where especially in summer you are very likely to encounter pelagics, and be prepared to meet schools of hammer head sharks!
Excellent and almost unspoilt dive sites are in the areas of Rocky Island and Zabargad Island. All those sites are teaming with schools of tropical fish and promise lots of big fish action. Much further south, St John is a collection of small reefs offering all the beauty of the Red Sea with breathtaking reefs covered with hard corals and soft corals in all colours. Add the possibility to spot a wide variety of pelagics, big fish, Dolphins and diving through a labyrinth of caves.
The North offers very good to spectacular wreck diving. The Thistlegorm is a must dive, you cannot miss this one! She holds plenty cargo like motorcycles, locomotives and war goods - a really unique dive. The wrecks of Abu Shaab Nuhas are also worth a visit. Dives in the Tiran Strait complete the tours in the north.
We think...
Seawolf Soul is a ship that doesn't need to shy away from any comparison to other safari vessels. The introduction of the emergency and location system ENOS ® has set new safety standards in the Red Sea.
