The Dancer Fleet is back in Palau! Tropic Dancer offers mostly 7 night cruises with a few special 10, 12 and 14 night cruises scheduled throughout the year. Tropic Dancer sleeps 18 passengers in 9 comfortable double/twin staterooms.

This luxurious vessel accommodates 18 guests in 9 deluxe stateroom cabins with the ultimate in comfort and space. All cabins are air-conditioned, and the ensuite bathrooms are equipped with hairdryers. Linens are changed mid-week and fresh towels are placed in each stateroom daily as needed. Bathrobes and some toiletries are available for use onboard.

Tropic Dancer is 32m (105 ft) long and 6m (28 ft) wide, powered by twin caterpillar 3412 cat diesel engines, generating 1000 H.P. each (10 knots) and has 110-208 volt power on board. There are 3 spacious decks, including a partially covered sun deck with chaise lounges and a hot tub. The main saloon features an entertainment centre with CD's, DVD's and a comprehensive library.

Breakfast is cooked to order; buffet lunch and an elegant meal at dinner with tableside service are served daily in addition to fresh mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are complimentary while onboard.

Tropic Dancer generally offers a schedule of four dives, sometimes 5 dives per day, mostly conducted from tender boats. Night diving may be possible on most nights depending on weather conditions. On some dive sites, such as Blue Corner in particular, a reef hook is a very useful tool for maintaining proper buoyancy control and positioning against very strong currents. It protects the reef while adding to the enjoyment of the experience to see reef sharks up close on the reef ledge. You may bring your own reef hook or one will be provided for your use while on board.

From warm water lagoons to dramatic drop-offs, the Palau archipelago that surrounds and protects the famed mushroom-shaped Rock Islands is known as one of the top dive destinations in the world. Palau is ideally suited for the more adventurous diver.

You can expect mostly wall and drift diving with visibility ranging from 30m (90ft) in excess of 60m (200ft), depending on existing conditions. Tropic Dancer explores spectacular walls along the barrier reef, including such favourites as Blue Corner, Ngemelis Drop-Off and many other sensational dive sites yet to be charted. Get ready to enjoy the thrill of drift diving with schooling sharks, the beauty of healthy hard and soft corals, the tranquillity of Jellyfish Lake, historic WWII wrecks and the vibrant fish life. Palau is one of the few destinations where sharks and manta rays are almost guaranteed to be seen up close.

Tropic Dancer is ready for boarding after 4:00 pm on departure, and departs from Malakal Harbour between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Disembarkation is after 7:00 am on Sunday morning. Same day airport transfers are provided free of charge. Passengers arriving in Palau on Sunday morning are met by a Tropic Dancer representative at the airport and taken to the Palau Pacific Resort for a few hours prior to boarding.

Diving begins Monday morning and ends Saturday before noon; Tropic Dancer returns to port shortly afterwards. Passengers may spend Saturday afternoon shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing onboard. Later on Saturday night, everyone will dine at a local restaurant (this is the only meal at passenger's own expense). Check-out is 8:00 am Sunday morning, when complimentary airport transfers conclude the journey. It is possible to check out earlier for the flight to Yap which departs in the early Sunday morning hours.
