This small PADI Dive Centre is located on the premises of Maluku Divers Resort.
Ambon is famous for world class muck diving, with a huge array of critters. The Maluku Divers Resort is the only dedicated dive resort within Ambon Bay, it is "Critters Without Crowds" when diving in Ambon.
Dive Center and Service
The diving with Maluku Divers is an underwater photographer's paradise. Muck diving is the main focus for divers, but also some excellent reefs and a shipwreck can be dived. The diving is done in small groups (maximum 5 divers per guide). Shore diving is available from the house reef. There are 3 daily boat dives. The dive boats are equipped with first aid equipment and oxygen. Snacks, drinking water and towels are provided on a dive day.

Experienced divers can dive independently from the beach. Night diving is always done from the beach. 12l aluminium tanks with INT valves are used. The dive shop offers plenty of space for washing and storing dive and camera equipment.
Limited 15l tanks, DIN adaptors and some rental equipment are available. Prior notice should be given if special requirements are needed.

Nitrox fills are available at the resort, usually fills are 32%. Maluku Divers operates a blended nitrox system and individual tank fills are US$ 8/tank. Divers are encouraged to follow safety standards and analyze each tank prior to diving.

The Dive Day
A normal day of diving at Maluku Divers consists of a two tank departure in the morning, which usually heads out of the resort at around 8.30am. Dive one is followed by a surface interval spent on the dive boat, where divers enjoy some snacks and drinks, before diving again at a different site.

After these two dives, the boats will return to the resort, for charging and downloading requirements, as well as a healthy lunch.

The third dive of the day usually departs around 3.00pm and is a single tank departure, after which guests return straight to the resort.

Prebooked dive packages are usually three dives each day, but Maluku Divers does offer night dives each night as well, but will consider conditions and safety before arranging these. There are also unlimited unguided shore dive packages at the resort, these dives can be taken as shore night dives too.

Dive area
Diving around Ambon is very good and varied. In Ambon Bay, there are 30 different dive sites that can be reached in 5 to 10 minutes from leaving the resort. Diving in Ambon Bay is of course famous for muck diving, but across the island are surprisingly high quality and diverse reef dive sites as well. With a huge 100m shipwreck resting within Ambon Bay, just minutes from the resort and interesting topographical sites on the south coast, in addition to exhilarating drift diving on the northern and western coasts of Ambon, the reef diving in this area comfortably holds it's own with many of Indonesia's most popular reef site destinations. Maluku Divers offers trips to the further afield dive sites on average once each week.
