WALKS & HIKES
TAVURVUR BASE WALK:
An early morning tour, where guests are paddled over to the base of the currently active volcano by canoe to witness the residents of the Matupit island digging for fowl eggs, one of their main source income and food.
KABIU HIKE:
Also an early morning tour due to cooler temperatures earlier in the day. The walk generally takes 3 hours to complete, with a splendid view of the Harbour, volcano and coastline.
ISLAND TRIPS
ISLAND PICNIC PIGEONS/ SWALLOWS:
Idyllic tropical islands with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water; this is the perfect place to spend the day with family and friends exploring, snorkeling and just enjoying the piece of paradise. From Vunagam, the Pigeon or Credner Islands are a 15 - 20 minute boat ride. From Kabaira, Swallow Island is a 40 minute boat ride. Both islands have their own uniqueness and beauty. Little Pigeons is the more popular of islands due to it’s convenient location to town however it’s the remoteness of Swallow’s and it’s very interesting history that makes Swallows the favourite. A picnic lunch is included in the charge. Scuba diving and or Fishing can also be incorporated into this trip.

After a swim and exploration of the site the return trip makes an island stop for lunch and snorkeling. A picnic lunch is included in the charge. Scuba diving and or Fishing can also be incorporated into this trip.
