Volivoli Beach is tucked away on the northernmost tip of Viti Levu, Fiji's main island. The north of Viti Levu Island is a little off the beaten track for many travellers. From Nadi International Airport it is a 2 to 3 hours scenic drive (length depending on road conditions). The resort is just ten minutes drive from the village of Rakiraki.

Volivoli Beach Resort is located in a truly unspoilt and spectacular corner of Fiji, having some of the best diving in Fiji right in front their door. Ra Divers, the in-house dive shop, offers great value dive packages for beginners and experienced divers. Divers will find a variety of marine life and fascinating shipwrecks nearby, just waiting to be explored.

The resort is owned and managed by the dedicated Darling Family, originally from New Zealand, they fell in love with Fiji, purchased Ra Divers and built the resort. Volivoli is one of only a very few dive resorts in Fiji with a beautiful beach. In fact ‘Volivoli’ means sand in the local dialect, and the beach was named after the sand spit which stretches 80 metres (264 ft) out to sea, providing a wonderful sunbathing spot and marking the most northerly point of Viti Levu. Volivoli Beach is the water sports hub for the North, and the deepwater bay means that water sports are possible at high or low tide, unlike many other resorts in Fiji. Another advantage is that this are has a lower annual rainfall than many other parts of Fiji.

The Resort has different types of accommodation. Volivoli has 10 private villas called Studio Vale and 9 rooms in the deluxe hotel wing called Vale Balavu rooms.

Studio Vales
These beautiful new stand alone Studio Vales are bure-style with uninterrupted ocean views. Each Studio Vale is air-conditioned and fully screened, with one Queen sized bed, two sofa beds. The Studio Valle has an ensuite bathroom, kitchen and washing machine. These bungalows are perfect for couples who wish to have secluded accommodation. The Studio Vale is also a good choice for families (two adults & two children), offering plenty of space.

Vale Balavu rooms
These are twin queen rooms, all located next to each other in one building. They are designed specifically for divers travelling together, wanting twin bedded accommodation. With two queen size beds, the Vale Balavu rooms are beautifully finished in sustainable hard-woods and feature, a writing desk, Wi-Fi, deck chairs, 2 large ceiling fans, air con, tea and coffee facilities and Volivoli's famous Ocean views.

Meals are served in the laid-back, sand-floor restaurant or the newly completed dinning area featuring locally grown renewable hardwoods and comfortable tropical furniture over looking the palm fringed pool and azure waters of the Bligh Strait. The menu is designed to suit all tastes. Another pretty feature is the Pool Bar where you can enjoy your drinks, relax with a game of pool or darts. There's also a large screen TV.

With a perfect blend of white sandy beaches and coral reef, an exciting range of water sports like kayaking (free for guests to use), game fishing and snorkelling are on offer. You'll also have the chance to sample Fijian culture at Volivoli’s traditional dancing and fire twirling performances, take part in a Kava ceremony or enjoy a boat trip to a traditional local village, play beach volleyball. Alternatively, you can simply lie back at the stunning white sand beach than just soak up the sun or if you’d prefer some shade and a hammock, the grass under the striking flame trees is the ideal spot to lounge around.

Boasting some of the best snorkelling in Fiji, the waters around Volivoli Beach are full of colourful soft coral and marine life. You can snorkel at any time of day, as the deep water bay means low tide isn't a problem. You can snorkel right off the sand spit.

Volivoli Beach Resort has stable mobile phone reception. All rooms and common areas have free wireless internet access for guests. There is also a guest computer with internet access.
