The dive sites in the south of Negros offer a variety of diving opportunities from shallow coral gardens to steeper reef walls with beautiful coral growth. A paradise for macro photography.

The largely intact underwater world around Apo Island offers plenty. Interesting underwater landscapes with sea fans, soft corals and feather stars. Colourful nudibranchs, moray eels, frogfish, seahorses, clownfish and sea snakes are to be seen here too. The reefs are in intact condition with no bleaching or signs of dynamite fishing which has stopped some time ago and reefs recovered very well.

Diving is possible all year round; the best time is November to May. The year-round water temperatures are between 25°C (77°F) and 30°C (86°F). A 3 or 5 mm wetsuit is sufficient.
More marine protected areas are set up in the south of Negros, which is great for the environment and the visiting divers. To achieve and support the efforts, divers are charged a small fee for each dive. The nearest decompression chamber is located in Cebu City.
