The tenth largest island of the Philippine archipelago lies between the neighbouring islands of Cebu in the west and Leyte in the northeast. Bohol belongs to the Visayas island group, (the major islands of the Visayas are Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte, and Samar).
The famous tourist attraction of Bohol is the unusual formation of the Chocolate Hills, about 1000 huge round grassy hills that turn (chocolate) brown in the dry season. To the southwest is the small Island of Panglao which is connected by two bridges with the main island of Bohol. Alona Beach, the main place on Panglao is a meeting place for divers from around the world.
Attractions
