Dive Shop The Dive Society, an "SSI Instructor Training Facility & Dive Resort", is under Swiss management. It offers daily boat trips, equipment rental and SSI and PADI courses. The dive base has plenty of ten, twelve and fifteen liter aluminium tanks with INT valves. Nitrox fills are available at no extra cost. The house reef is easily accessible and offers some interesting diving.
Dive Operation Daily dive trips are offered on board a specially designed large Bangka (local outrigger boat) and a custom-built trimaran (fibreglass outrigger boat). Both boats are equipped with oxygen-aid kit, mobile phone and toilet. Various dive sites along the coast can be reached by speed boat within 5 minutes up to an hour.
Two tank dives to further afield dive sites are offered every morning. The afternoon dives take place at dive sites closer to shore. House reef diving is possible from dawn to dusk (ends 7pm). All diving activities are offered daily. Full day tours will be conducted in consultation with the diving guests. Night diving is possible on the house reef.
The dives are accompanied by Swiss instructors or expert local dive guides from the Philippines. The guides know the best dive sites and conditions and are great critter spotters. Dive Sites Diving around Dumaguete is very diverse. Besides Apo marine reserve, there are also many beautiful dive sites off the coast of Dumaguete. There is no dynamite fishing in the area.
The dive sites can be dived all year round, mostly with good visibility. All dive sites around Apo Island and along the coast of Dauin are highlights for many divers and especially for underwater photographers.
