Sunken Cemetery, Camiguin

The cemetery grounds sank in 1871 when Mt. Vulca-an erupted. Now a giant white cross stands on the water as its reminder. Underwater, a beautiful reef has grown and is the host to a healthy marine life; Triggerfish, cuttle fish, ribbon and moray eels, blue-spotted stingray, frogfish, and some shy turtles. This site is now a marine sanctuary and is growing abundantly.
