Lankayan Dive Centre
Lankayan Dive Centre, which is under Malaysian management, offers three dive trips on a daily basis and PADI dive training and equipment rental as well.
Dive Service
There are three boat dives per day on the surrounding reefs. Dive sites are accessed with fast speed boats in under 10 minutes.
The dives are accompanied by Malaysian dive guides, which all have excellent local knowledge. The dive briefing is in English. It is also possible to dive at the house reef in front of the dive centre at any time.
Dive area
The 25 sites are not particularly deep (max. 25 meters/82 feet) but inspire through diverse and intact hard coral growth with large fish and a huge diversity of species. In addition to countless hard corals, huge schools of snappers and jacks, encounters with leopard sharks, blacktip sharks and turtles are possible. From March to May is the possibility of whale shark encounters. The variety in the macro range is outstanding, many nudibranches, ghost pipe fish, frogfish, leaf fish, ribbon eels and many more are waiting for the divers.
