Hill Rocks, Coiba

High tide is the best time to dive this site because of the surge that comes from the south. Very unusual substrate comprised of volcanic rock jutting out at strange angles and form the habitat for thousands of schooling resident and pelagic fish. Schools of Triggerfish, Grunts and Spadefish. Barracuda, Jacks and Snapper. Huge Nurse Shark frequent this site. There is also a healthy population of White Tips. Disorientation is a problem at times here because of the quantity of fish. 70 ft / 22 mts will be our maximum depth on this dive. Safety stops can be taken drifting off the site. An abundance of soft corals and sponges and too many bottom dwellers mention. Extremely productive site and one not too miss. Depth Range 15 ft / 5mts – 130 ft /40 mts.
