Shark Fin, Coiba

The top of this shallow pinnacle breaks the surface at low tide and appears like a large shark fin sticking out of the water. Located in a semi sheltered bay, the flanks of the site are habitat for many schools of reef fish, King Angels, Moorish Idols and Grunts. Clouds of Butterfly fish hang off the rock, waiting to provide a cleaning service for larger visitors several sand channels are home to the resident white tip shark. Schooling Eagle Rays frequent this pinnacle. Depth Range 15 ft / 5mts – 130 ft /40 mts.
