This point is the most southern tip of Panama’s terrestrial territory. The white cliffs of Jicarita drop down onto a natural volcanic buttress, which forms the top of this carol covered wall. Here the currents split and run up each side of this spectacular island. This is normally a drift dive. We start on the exposed western point and drift round the point to the more sheltered eastern side. Depth of this dive will depend on activity. As the name suggests, this site is a Freeway for many marine species, schooling rays, mantas, schooling big fish and shark. Corals are abundant on the rocky drop off. Some well established colonies of endemic corals can be encountered here. Depth Range 40 ft / 13 mts – 130 ft / 40 mts.
