Cathedral Rock, Coiba

One of our Dive masters favorite sites. Situated close to the abysmal depths. These two pinnacles appear like the entrance to an underwater Cathedral. Totally covered with corals, this dive site is one of the most dynamic in the park. Staring at 40 ft / 13 mts and descending to the abyss. The cleaning stations will be our target here, and this site has many. Following a rocky causeway down to 80 ft / 25 mts to Station frequented by Hammerheads and other supersized fish. The bottom dwellers here are to numerous to mention. This site is home to a completely new species of coral, recently discovered by a local scientist. Currents here can be fairly strong; however the topography of the site permits the diver to seek the lea side of the current. Safety stops can be taken in the blue water, drifting over the drop off. Too much to take in on one dive. Depth Range 40ft / 13 mts – 130 ft /40 mts.
